Just suffered the effects of this bug today after a power failure, but it only affected my Win 7 Pro 64 machine, my WIN XP Home 32 restarted the tasks OK.

Have updated to the Beta driver now and that message has now disappeared.

Funny thing is my other rig has not suffered from that same message and is quite happily running 2 WU's and has had no problem getting any....

I've never come across the phrase " NVIDIA GPU: Upgrade to the latest driver to use all of this project's GPU applications" before.

It is seeing both cards when BOINC starts and both cards are enabled in CC_CONFIG

Running 310.90 but have also tried 320.49 and it makes no difference - it still comes back with the phrase - NVIDIA GPU:Upgrade to the......... and won't download a second WU!!!

HELP!!!
26) Message boards : Graphics cards (GPUs) : All WUs on GTX660 failing (Message 31465)
Posted 3953 days ago by TheFiend
Well it's looking like hardware. I swapped the two cards and the original (that works fine in the old system) is working fine in the new system, while the new card (that was failing in the new system) is also failing in the old system (errored the GPUGRID WU that was in process within a minute or two).

...Now to try to explain this to try to organise a replacement...

Thanks to all for your help.

I had a similar problem with a factory overclocked GTX660Ti - it was failing on both my systems. I managed to get Amazon to swap it for a standard clocked card and the failures stopped.

Replacement GTX660Ti is now happily crunching away... cheers Amazon - they dispatched it on Boxing day and it arrived yesterday!!!

Not had a single failed unit with my replacement GTX660Ti.... Tempted to get a second one.

My "Long runs" cases:

Task 6295312 - received 5 Jan 2013 | 4:09:59 UTC -
reported 5 Jan 2013 | 19:03:15 UTC
that is only 15 hours for 90100 credits

task 6291504 - received 4 Jan 2013 | 4:19:15 UTC -
reported 4 Jan 2013 | 21:31:16 UTC
that is few minutes after 17 hours for 135150 credits

task 6281411 - received 31 Dec 2012 | 23:02:42 UTC
reported 1 Jan 2013 | 23:06:06 UTC
that is 24 hours for 112625 credits

Every task used near 36000 seconds (35735 - 35965)

There is no correlation between those cases !!!!!

The two WU's that have lower credit have occurred for the following reasons:-

Task 6295312 - It was a re-issued WU and somebody else returned the same WU before you- you didn't qualify for the 24Hr bonus.

Task 6281411 - you missed the 24 hour bonus deadline by 4 minutes.

Now that we have these units uploading successfully, I noticed that the server status has 22,000 + work units listed as unsent. I have never seen that number that high, and since in the last few days, I have been getting nothing but these Noelia units, putting 2 and 2 together, I ask that question again, what's the big thing that we are crunching here?

Maybe they're just keeping stocked up for Xmas!
