(Message 13806)
Posted 5264 days ago by Mark Henderson 2, EVGA 260s here. Win. XP64, Nvidia 195.62 runs good. Although I have not had any problems with my 260s ever, with any driver. Except overclocking too much. They are 55nm 260s. |

Posted 5371 days ago by Mark Henderson I believe you are correct, I set to stock speeds and it is running good now. Mark Henderson, your case seem to be due to overclocking. |

Another Downclocking Prevention Link..
(Message 11546)
Posted 5391 days ago by Mark Henderson This looks promising for Vista and above, downclocking problem. Seems too easy.. Sorry, I've not quite figured out how to make a link clickable. http://nvidia.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/nvidia.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=2441 |

Posted 5392 days ago by Mark Henderson Hello Admin, Would it be possible to do as Seti and have it to where the 2 DLL files for Cuda 2.3 could be " dropped " into the GPU folder and replace the 2.2 files? This is possible on the Seti optimized apps. and works great. For the people that 190.. drivers are running problem free this could give a small added boost. I tried it one time and it would not work because the "file size " was incorrect and it errored out. If the software did not look at the file size it would maybe work. It may also help the developers get a jump on any issues with 2.3 also. Just a question. Thanks |

Posted 5395 days ago by Mark Henderson Are you all uninstalling the old Nvidia driver first from add remove programs, then uninstall Pxysx, and then running " Driver Sweeper " in safe mode after reboot to remove all the old remnants before updating Nvidia drivers? I would suggest this if it has't already been tried. I take this long route and seldom have problems. Don't uninstall Physx before Nvidia drivers, I messed up doing that. Nvidia first and then Physx. |
