Posted 4318 days ago by Mark Henderson I ordered an EVGA 680 signature 2 overclocked with 2 fans this morning. I'll try running it beside my current 570. Will I have to reinstall Nvidia drivers again with the new 680 ? |

Posted 4319 days ago by Mark Henderson It would be beneficial if there was some way to tell after the fact that a WU labeled 3.1 was processed using 4.2 for the user and the project in case troubleshooting was required for some problems with results or whatever. Hopefully no problems will arise. |

Cuda 4.2 WUs seem much faster than the old 3.1

Posted 4330 days ago by Mark Henderson Is it just me or is the cuda 4.2 WUs 30-40 percent faster than the 3.1s are. It seems amazing the difference is so extreme. Also, is it a good time now to get a 680 ? now that the project will support it ?? |

New beta application for kepler is out

Posted 4360 days ago by Mark Henderson I have noticed my computer is very unresponsive when running the Beta units. Win 7 x64, GTX570, 301.25 nvidia driver, 3770k CPU, Sabertooth X77 Motherboard. Besided the slowdown beta is running great on my system. Over 300 of them now last i looked. |

Posted 5046 days ago by Mark Henderson 6.09 Cuda 3.1 beta is running good on my 55nm EVGA 260s. As did the previous versions also, with moderate overclock. Just 1 WU completed so far but it seems to be 5 to 10 percent faster than 6.05 was. Time per step seems 2x faster than I usualy see. |
