Gents,
my BOINC installation is running well with a lot of projects. It runs well with 2 NVIDIA GPUs.
Only from GPU GRID I have received few work units (5.4 Mio done) - but since this one big buch I have not received anything any more. This is now for months.

The reply in the sched_reply_www.gpugrid.net.xml is: no work units available, meanwhile the server status on this page shows the same.

Is this project running? or is it just a maintained page?

Responses appreciated.
BR Phil

I am a bit surprised that someone who joined in May 2009 would ask. This is not the first long outage. It seems they are digesting the results from their last test series. I would not try to predict when they will be back, only that they will be.

If you would go look in the news section first you would know they are out of work and Tony is busy with some administration work (Grant writing he says in his post) in the mean time.

When there is a huge load of work units to be distributed your system will get some. Just leave the project active in your Boinc Manager for now.

Once they get their newest project to run the project will be back.

You need to ask for work more often. When BOINC receives a "no work" response from a project, it automatically backs off for 24 hours before asking for work again.

The acemd3 work has been spotty since the summer but it HAS been available regularly if you ask for it all the time.

If you receive a no work available response for acemd3, a task might be available an hour later. If you don't ask for that task, then you don't get it and it goes to somebody else who is asking for work regularly.

All you have to do is script the request with the boinccmd utility. I do that every 15 minutes on my hosts and I have been getting work pretty much every day.

I am concentrating on debugging the beta python application now so not asking for acemd3 work.

Also there was a problem with the BOINC application at the end of September with an expired security certificate that prevented the client from communicating with projects. Make sure you are running the latest BOINC 7.16.20 client from the BOINC website. https://boinc.berkeley.edu/download_all.php
