From the Folding@home Forums on a forum thread about their non existing Linux application -

Ahavi wrote:For those that need to use their GPUs for something good there is always gpugrid.net, which supports Linux.

Bruce (FAH Site Admin) wrote:
I don't consider donating to "big pharma" to be something I'd call good. FAH's research is placed in the public domain, and that's a big difference. Yes, public pressure has forced grid to publish some of their findings, but the important ones are kept by the private sponsors.

Gpugrid.net is a publicly funded project. It involves two universities, a hospital, and a scientific park. The project members belong directly to these entities http://www.gpugrid.net/aboutus.php
No "big pharma" company is related to the project. All the research done using the grid is published in scientific journals, similar to what F@H does.

We are working on providing more and better information on the kind of research being carried in gpugrid-ps3grid. Questions regarding this though, will be kindly answered too.

all the best,
ignasi

Thank you very much Ignasi, for making that clear! :)
I did not really believe what I read at the FAH Forums, but I thought I just ask...

So it's only the old Folding against all BOINC projects thing...
I hope you can get up the better info about ps3grid/gpugrid soon.

That's kind of character assassination what they are doing at FAH. :x

Thanks again,
Stefan

I don't think that he is referring to us.

[EDIT] Well, I hope that he simply did not know about this project.

I think Bruce is refering to gpugrid.net because his reply is the the statement by Ahavi mentioning gpugrid.net has linux support.

It is possible he is thinking of another grid and mixing the two up.

Can someone with an account on that forum, ask him to clarify which grid he means, and also where he got his facts for that statement from, like which findings were published ?
