it appears I rec'd no credit for a wu 8 hrs past due? why would a software engineer build an app that would continue to crunch beyond the deadline when it trash? if it is no longer good, why not defunct the WU and move on? seems like a very simple conditional. if beyond deadline, kill. oddly, the crunched wu data was still uploaded, hmmph, so it begs the question: are the results still assessed but the cruncher short changed?

come on, if there is no inbetween, then have the app kill the late WU.

NOTE: late because I spent one day too many testing a boinc client for ps3. oh well.

Sam,
Each project sets it's own rules for when/how it grants credit for work.

Most projects will still grant you credit if you return the WU late, but before the resent WU gets returned by someone else.

BOINC has no way to know what the credit policy is for a given project, and so will continue to process a WU past deadline.

I haven't looked at your specific situation, but that's the general guidelines.

Mark

PS. I'm trying to find a BOINC PS3 client that is more up to date than 5.x, but works correctly, so if you can suggest one, I'm all ears.
