Will this card run GPUGRID jobs?

EVGA GeForce GTX 1050 FTW Gaming Graphic Cards ACX 3.0, 2GB GDDR5, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC) Graphics Card 02G-P4-6157-KR

Want to be sure it will run before I order.

Thanks!

I have a 1050 Ti and runs adequately. It takes less than about 18 hrs to finish a Long WU.

Based on personal experience, and the fact that you are just getting started on GPU processing, I would like to recommend you initially purchase the best equipment you can afford; but also make sure that the card you buy has the necessary power supply in the computer to support it and the architecture of the computer will accept the design of the card.

I know at one point that the work-task designers (I believe) were catering to the cards with the newest technology. Look on the front page (Performance tab) of this website and one can see that the top performing cards are the 1080's and above; and those cost hundreds of US dollars.

I hope my comments are helpful without being intrusive. And welcome to GPU supported distributed computing. Bill (Central Texas USA)
