Hi All,
Just noticed that "Wrapper" something gets blocked by my Anti-Virus.

I also noticed that finally my machine was getting CPU based Quantum Chemistry GPUGrid WU's (for the very first time).

They all went bad (4 CPU WU's).

Can I assume that this is because of the Anti-virus blocking "Wrapper" ?

If it has nothing to do with it, why would they go bad ?

I have highest preference for GPUGrid (2000), LHC has 1500.
LHC has been running for a very long time (3+ years) without any trouble,
both with single CPU and with multi CPU (cores) WU's.

LHC is now running in high priority.

Question 1 :
Is BOINC being abused by malware that the Anti-virus blocks it ?

Question 2 :
If it's safe, what should I unblock on the A-V ?

Question 3 :
Is the problem that I just experienced with the GPUGrid CPU based multi-core WU's related to this Wrapper being blocked by A-V ?
If so, will the issues be remedied by unblocking or is there something else
to take into consideration/other actions I should undertake ?

Question 4 :
If it's not the A-V blocking, what could possibly be happening and how
to remedy ?

I run Win 10 Pro, updated to the very latest 1709 build 16299.192.
Intel i7-6850K 6 physical, 12 logical cores
32 GB RAM (works flawlessly, just checked)

BOINC Manager 7.8.3 (x64)
Widget Version 3.0.1

Oracle Virtual Box 5.1.26 (now downloading 5.2.6, will be installing latest version lateron).

Any help is welcome !

The tasks failed because you don't have Windows Subsystem for Linux installed. See Experimental QC app for Windows 10.

Hi Juha,

Thanks for the quick response !

Indeed... I only got the message from GPUGrid/BOINC about the Linux subsystem after all these tasks failed, and after posting my initial questions.

So, I installed the Ubuntu client, but now I'm not getting any QC WU's...
