Just to be clear.

This project no longer supports cards running on Win XP 32 bit OS...

Correct?

Well, many of the XP crunchers are still hoping that Matt will come up with a technical solution which makes a continued use of XP for GPUGRID crunching possible.

The 10-20% higher crunching speed (compared to any later Microsoft OS) is definitely a strong argument.

I believe there is a technical solution to this problem. The question is whether or not, the staff is willingly to use the resources and time to accomplish it.

If they don't, they will have a bunch of unhappy crunchers (like they don't have that already), but are they willing to risk it??

I personally hope that the paid time of one of the scientists isn't too valuable for the time of hundreds of people installing new operating systems on multiple computers that are volunteering their own personal time to do this. You will lose volunteers if you mistreat them. I hope you can find a way.

I'm running a task on XP 32-bit right now, however I had an issue downloading one task at first. I'm not sure how long this will work...

Based on the recent information that GPUGRID will run on Windows XP for one more year, I tried to continue crunching on my XP machine 64-bit (driver 361.75).

However, BOINC says

18/04/2017 07:14:02 | GPUGRID | No tasks are available for Long runs (8-12 hours on fastest card)

although the Project Status Page shows 300+ unsent tasks.

What can I do to get the thing work?

I tried again late afternoon, and could download new tasks :-)
