i notice their is not really alot of tech support for ps3 now. mostly for video cards

Again I will be political and say in my experience probably not. I have had nothing but trouble with the gpugrid ps3 app and have moved on to yoyo@home exclusively but your mileage my vary. Just the fact that only a disgruntled ex-cruncher has replied to you in a day should speak volumes. I have found the yoyo apps (actually dnet) to be much more stable and their community a bit more vibrant. I have not tried SETI on ps3 but have heard it runs excellent also. Finally I have nothing but good things to say about the native ps3 folding@home client(except that it doesn't give boinc credits ). Anyway good luck unleashing the power of ps3 for the better of science.
