Yes ... the same problem has a member from our Team.

My hind to this problem is BIOS update with nvflash with the Gridtested stable settings.

unless I am mistaken, we need the new client for BOTH Linux and Windows to not need the CPU to run a WU....

allright, when comes the new Client ? have you an plan then this is available ?

A new application has been uploaded:
1) this application has drastically reduced CPU-usage
2) it reports the time per step in output, as now the cputime is not anymore a good estimate of elapsed time.

... wow ... great work ... now only the the new Boinc manager (4 Windows) and we are satisfied so we can use the GPU on PS3Grid an the CPU on other Boinc Projects :)

But there is only Problems with error like "failed in file 'force.cu' in line 487"

this is the Host the Maschine is an Windows 2k3 Server based Homeserver. There would run 24/7 without run any 3d Programs. i don´t know what the Problem is ... the nVidia Driver is the 177.92 like my other Maschines ...

only the last two tasks are with the nVidia 8800GT run the oher i tried an 8600GT but she is to slow an dont finished work just in Time.

Is there a way for my quad to crunch 4 units AND have the graphics card doing 1?

only under MS Vista & Folding @ Home ;) there is only GPU Power 4 Crunching ... or you by an dualQuadsystem ... then u have many more Cores 2 Crunch ;) :) :)

My guess is if you use your computer more and the GPU has more to do (like watching TV) the application is slower, because the GPU has other things to do...

no that can not be the reason ... This Computer runs 24/7 and the Vista Mediacenter also 24/7 (from the beginning until know)

@ExtraTerrestrial Apes ... the Mediacenter is running all the time i reboot this Maschine only at M$ patchdays ;) ... so that i don´t understand why it is so.

Hello,

I have an question about the length of the Workunits. In the beginning i have these GPUTEST2 Workunits in 28k - 38k seconds done. Now my GPUs are in ~ 48k seconds done with the same Credits as the GPUTEST2 Workunits.

is this normal or is what wrong with my GPU ?

I mean this Host ID

i have no change make on this Maschine ... it is my Mediacenter and i watch with this Maschine on my 32" LCD Screen TV :-D

The GPU Clock is stimm 650 MHz, Memclock is 900MHz an Shaderclock is 1750MHz. Windows Vista 32 with the 177,92 is also from the beginning at this Maschine.
