Posted 3360 days ago by poppageek My Win 8.1 box completed successfully a work unit. It used 95-98% of CPU and 50-63% of 1 GPU. Second GPU was not touched. That's cool. Just trying to be helpful. Not sure what info helps. Cheers! |

Posted 3360 days ago by poppageek My Win 8.1 box completed successfully a work unit. It used 95-98% of CPU and 50-63% of 1 GPU. Second GPU was not touched. I tried using the <exclude_gpu> in cc_config.xml and ran 2 e@h apps on other gpu. CPU usage by mdrun-917 went from 98% to 65% and GPU for GPUgrid wu went from 65% to 43%. When I suspended the E@H project the GPUgrid numbers returned. I know Vista was not listed on the list of OSes but my Vista box did get work units. Remaining time or completed time is always 100% and there is some activity on CPU, erratic and only a few spikes on GPU occasionally. I will disable it from getting apps unless you want to continue testing Vista 64bit. Cheers! |

Posted 3361 days ago by poppageek Vista 6 core 2x 7870 GPUs machine got 9.15 (mt). Using <exclude_gpu> it was on GPU 0. Seldom touched the GPU CPU usage was 0-100 on all cores bouncing around. While Time Remaining stoped after about 10 minutes WU continued for, well it is at 97% and has run 44:55. After running for 2:46:41 and 14 minutes of that at 100% complete I aborted. |

Windows 8.1 6 core 2 x 7870 9.15 (mt) did hit the gpus for 30% for a few minutes then to 0% for a few. CPU was all cores at about 20-30% and computation error after 119-122 seconds. |
