Can BOINC run on any PS3 model (cheap or expensive model) ?
Is it necessary USB drive or large HD memory to install Linux or some component ?

I think yes.
but I suggest larger size HDD for Linux.Linux uses about 9GB after Full Install.

It is necessary A USB flash drive to \"Install Other OS\" on PS3.

I used a CF Card. You onle need about 10MB of free space for 2 files.
The instructions say you can use CF,SD,Memory Stick,USB or Optical (I assume they mean CD or DVD, but it would be a waste to program 8MB on something non-reusable, unless you have Rewritable type blanks). Once installed you can erase the files back off the memory card. Its only needed once so you could borrow one if you don\'t have one. Of course this depends on if you SP3 takes all these, my new 60GB model has all of these slots.
