One host with an Nvidia GT 710 is getting work for cpu and gpu.

My other host with two Nvidia GTX 670 is only getting work for cpu and not for gpu - the settings are the same.

Why is one host not getting new work for gpu?

Hope the app developer jumps in. Only thing I can think of is a Compute Capability version limitation in the app.

What do the first 30 lines in the Event Log show after initial BOINC startup?

BOINC prints out what it finds to compute with and any error messages tell the tale.

Well, there is not a clue in the startup messages. Both cards are seen and everything looks normal. No error messages.

The usual thing to look at when there a more than one card in a system of differing compute capabilities is to set the <use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus> flag in cc_config.xml.

Boinc normally only uses the card with the highest compute capability but both of your cards are seen and are ready for use. So that is not the case.

So, back to my original premise that the app has a restriction on the level of compute capability allowed.

I think I should really search for another project.

Since I've been here, there are always bugs - some computer get work, some not. No other boinc projekt has this problems.

Mostly you don't get any reply. So I will crunch to some projects which needs my computer.

It probably is to do with the fact that GTX670 is a CC3.0 card and can't run the GpuGrid Cuda 8.0 App but can run the the Cuda 6.5 App. In which case you will need to downgrade your host's drivers to a pre Cuda 8.0 driver.

The new WUs are not supported by the old driver.
