I had this happen on my old PC and ignored it since it can only be "fixed" temporarily by pausing GPU, pausing CPU then running CPU and running GPU in that order.
It is now happening on my new PC. The GPUGRID work units for the GPU cease progressing, the GPU drops to 0% but the Time Elapsed keeps clocking up and the Remaining time becomes a nonsense.
Any ideas please?

Running BOINC 7.8.3, GPUGRID can use either GPU (GeForce GTX 1080 (driver version 388.31, CUDA version 9.1, compute capability 6.1, 4096MB, 3555MB available, 9395 GFLOPS peak)). Processor: 36 GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-7980XE CPU @ 2.60GHz [Family 6 Model 85 Stepping 4] on Win 10
One GPU gets to about 77oC with fan on auto at 62%, other is less hot.
