Hello Crunchers!

Things have been a bit quiet on the GPUGRID development front for a while as we have concentrated on our scientific projects.
I'm now doing a spot of work on our new CPU quantum chemistry application, with a view to significantly increasing its use in the near future. Expect a flurry of updates (the first, version 101, is live now) - these are aimed at improving the platform support and performance.

Please note that this app is Linux only. It's unlikely that we'll be able to get a Windows version of this software built.

Matt

Hi,
I am not getting work units recently. Have you guys run out of long gpu work units?

You're asking it in the wrong thread.
The long queue has enough work, you can check it yourself by clicking on the "server status" at the top right corner.
To fix your issue:
If you don't have the latest BOINC (7.4.42) manager, you should download and install it.
If you don't have the latest NVidia drivers (353.30) you should download it from the NVidia website, and install it (exit the BOINC manager before you do so).
However it's very hard to give you a specific advice, as your computers are hidden.
If these steps are not fixing your issue, please ask it again in a more appropriate thread. Do not reply here. Thank you.

Are there any updates on this, I have a few core's patiently waiting to run a few of the CPU quantum chemistry application.

The QMC@HOME BOINC project used to have some quantum chemistry workunits available, before it moved to another university. Any relation to the GPUGRID quantum chemistry application?

Just one at the moment - both projects are apparently dead...

The "mobility" part of QMC seems to be working, though I don't see anything on the medicinal chemistry part.

It is not exactly a hotbed of activity however, with no forums or feedback. Maybe I will try it out, but the work units seem rather problematic in length, check-pointing, and who-knows-what else.
