Hi!

I am returning to GPU Grid after a long away time. I had formatted my 64bit Ubuntu machine and so I had to reinstall everything, including NVIDIA drivers for my GT440 (I know it's not the best, but it's the thought that counts, right? :) ). I installed version 304.125 of the open source NVIDIA driver. The driver works well with other GPU-oriented projects such as Collatz.

My problem is that I can not get any WUs from GPUGrid, even though there are WUs available according to the server status page. Is there anything wrong with the website/status page or is the problem on my end? If the latest, what can I do to troubleshoot? I have been looking around here in the fora, but couldn't find anything useful thus far.

Cheers!

Van Fanel,

You may need to install a later release of the GPU drivers.

Re: this message that tells minimum version to use.

Hope that helps.

+1 I'm having the same issue. My graphics card is pretty good and mostly under-used, so I'd really like to help out...

Update to the latest Nvidia driver... you're showing as a GeForce GTX 860M (4095MB) driver: 332.50

You need to install the latest version of the Nvidia driver.

"latest" may not be strictly necessary, but "later" certainly is.

We discussed some problems in WU not completing: driver v344.75 seems a good compromise.

Do not forget that the way gpugrid works, each completed WU generates a new WU to crunch. So, in this sense, there's plenty of work to do. Regards!

And some tasks have been stuck in the queue for a long time: WU 10871300!

Should be completed in about an hour...
