The Nobel Prize in Chemistry for 2013 has gone to the gentlemen who invented a way to run chemical simulations on computers eventually leading to the work we're all doing here as well as on a number of other projects (POEM, Rosetta, etc.)

Congratulations to Michael Levitt, Martin Karplus, and Arieh Warshel!

Computational simulations have added a new dimension to scientific research, which is why I'm here. This research methodology has been expanding for some time, and is essential to the future of scientific research. It's great to see it receive such notable recognition.

With Higgs boson winning the Nobel Physics prize, and the Chemistry prize being awarded for work done on G protein-coupled receptors (an area of research this project has been involved in for some time), it's a very good year for computational research...
