Hi Sid, I would restart the system ASAP, to see if it's a runaway error (though you may have already tried that).

What might you have done in the last day or so that could have caused this?
A driver update, Boinc reinstall as a service, running under a different user account, antivirus or firewall update...?

Good luck,

Did a restart first off, have made no system updates. . . checked status of several of them and found either unsent or they had errored out with other crunchers.

This one is the poster child: 44x11-SANTI_RAP74wtCUBIC-15-34-RND9380

Sid, I might say 'bad batch' but several different types of WU are failing on the same system:

    SANTI_baxbim2
    SANTI_RAP74wtCUBIC
    NOELIA_INS1P
    SDOERR_BenAdaptW3

These are also running on your Linux system.

To begin with I suggest trying a Cold Start; power down the system, turn the PSU switch off (or at the wall), wait a minute and then start up again - it's usually worth a shot in these situations.
When it's powered down you might want to check that the GPU is sitting well in it's PCIE slot, that all the connections are tight, there are no cables touching components and that heatsinks and fans are not caked up with dust.
Should that fail I would reinstall the drivers and reset the project.

Tried the cold shutdown.

. . . downloaded a GPUGrid and it failed as soon as it started.

Will have to check with my son [gamer] and see if he has updated any drivers.

Looks like there was a recent driver update from 319.x to 331.4.
Perhaps the driver didn't install correctly.

I'm using the 331.4 drivers on my Win7 system (GK104 cards too) and they are fine so far.

When I installed the drivers I selected,
Custom (Advanced),
Ticked the Clean install box,
and only selected Graphics Driver and PhysX System Software from the list.
If you don't have a 3D monitor you don't need the drivers, and if you don't use the NVidia sound you don't need it...

Hopefully a clean install of the same 331.4 drivers will work.

The problem is definitely on my side. . . son downloaded some beta drivers to run BF4 faster.

. . . will do your driver re-install instructions to the letter, hope that solves this issue.

Did your recipe for a clean install of 331.4 to the letter.

. . . still won't run a GPU WU.

Next step will be to reset the card and try again.

Just hope that something in the card isn't fried. . . .

Problem apparently resolved with a system restore.

Thanks for the help Skgiven.

Good to know. I was thinking its a firewall issue, but sometimes operating systems go wonky.
