If you have GPUGrid tasks waiting to be uploaded and don't have any work, open Boinc Manager (advanced view), from the Transfers tab, select a pending update and click Retry Now.
Also do a manual update - Projects Tab, select GPUGRID and click the update button.

This should force tasks to upload and allow new tasks to download.
