Hi, I tried to install Boinc on Windows 8 Consumer Preview 64-bit and I could not, gives a permissions error in the reg. Interesting thread over at SETI. I installed Win8 over an install of Win7. It seemed to run fine until it came time to report the completed tasks and/or download more tasks. They did get uploaded but refused to report. I couldn't get BM to connect no matter what I tried. Right clicking on the BM icon showed all options greyed out. Rebooting didn't help. Maybe when they release a beta I'll try again. | |
