[error] No start tag in scheduler reply

I am getting this error on 4 diff PC's. Have tried everything to remedy to no avail. How do I solve this so that my GPU's get work?

The only possible solution I came across was this one,
http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_thread.php?id=2808
Selecting no new tasks and clicking update apparently resolved it - who knows, might work.

You can read about the error here,
http://www.boinc-wiki.info/No_start_tag_in_scheduler_reply,
I tells you it is a communication problem, but offers no useful suggestions.

I see you also posted over at xtremesystems, and the above suggestion got you nowhere.

Did you reboot your system (and router if need be)?

Resetting the project might also work, but this might result in loss of work and server credibility.

Lastly, you could move from 6.10.58 to 6.10.60.

I would have thought resetting the project would have fixed this.

Other than wait 5days for timeouts the only thing I can suggest is to uninstall Boinc completely (all directories and registry entries), change the computer name, reboot, install Boinc again, reboot, and try again. If you have a second hard drive in the system it might also help to install Boinc into there.

1. Shut down BOINC.

2. Navigate to your boinc data directory (usually C:\ProgramData\BOINC under Win 7) and delete any http_temp, sched_reply and job_log files.

3. Start boinc up again

4. On the projects tab highlight the GPUgrid project and hit the update button.

The error indicates its sent a scheduler request but the reply didn't start correctly. This could mean the scheduler has an issue (although we should all be getting it) or you are having comms problems.
