I have the following problem: After approx. 12 hours after starting a GPUGRID (or E@H) workunit the PC freezes completely, not only X. Even ssh is no longer working.

All I can find are the above mentioned messages.

Any ideas?

PS: OpenSuse 11.1 / NV 190.53 (?) and GF 9800 GT

You could try a newer driver.

Hi GDF,

190.53 is the latest (non beta) driver for Linux.

But AFAIR I had the problem with every driver in the last 1/2 year. And I don't think that another driver update helps.

I really suspect that my card is broken. (Googling shows some forum post which suggest the very same thing, e.g. NVIDIA forum)

I think of getting a GT240 anyway.
